Life has been very busy for me for over two years now, which is why I haven’t got on with this blog, or very much writing.
2016 will change this though, as more time on the horizon, and a book that has taken me nearly three years to write is about to be published. It’s been mentioned in my blog before, but now it is named and illustrated and I am on the final proof reading today.
So, here is “Eggs, Pegs and an Elephant” and a picture of the cover is above. Christina Boon has again provided some brilliant illustrations for me. I will add links as soon as it is out.
Absolutely delightful eager-to-please monkey character – my two year old granddaughter is a huge fan of the TV series, and so am I. Just so-happy and warm-hearted stories. Colourful characters with The Man with the Yellow Hat, Professor Wiseman and a host of others who simply accept the young monkey for who he is.Lots of science for young people in there to, the weather, dinosaurs, practical details like how a well works and how a tree house could be built by (trial and error if George is in charge.)
I deeply envy the author for creating these stories.
I bought my granddaughter one of the books for Christmas and it is now essential bedtime reading (along with sticking of stickers.) Here’s the one I got, but there are several more I shall purchase as soon as funds and Easter/Birthdays come by:
I am working on a longer book for 10 – 12 year olds – probably will be for quite a while, so won’t be publishing any more of the Ghostly Ghastly series for the time being. Here are the covers from the series in the meantime, and I am planning a print version for the six stories so far, combined in one book.
